#nationalfarmersday

This week we celebrated National Farmers Day. i wanted to share our story with you to help you understand why this day is so important and close to our hearts.

I grew up on a dairy farm with my family. Growing up on a dairy farm was such a blessing. I learned the importance of dedication and hard work. There were many times I would get home from school and help out with chores, do my homework, eat supper and then get to bed. WEEKENDS REQUIRED US TO gEt up early to help dad in the barn with milking, feeding calves and anything else that needed to be done. THE BEST PART OF WORKING ON THE FARM WAS THE FACT I GOT TO WORK ALONGSIDE MY FAMILY.

I HAVE TO SHARE SOME PHOTOS OF GROWING UP ON OUR FARM AND BEING INVOLVED IN AGRICULTURE.

WHILE I DON'T LIVE ON A DAIRY FARM, I STILL AM INVOLVED IN THE AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY WITH MY HUSBAND. WE GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO RAISE 3,000 PIGS ON OUR FAMILY FARM. BRETT TRULY LOVES FARMING AND I AM SO HAPPY HE GETS TO LIVE AND BREATH HIS LIFELONG DREAM, EVERY SINGLE DAY.

BRETT AND MY DAD AREN'T THE ONLY FARMERS I KNOW. FARMING IS IN OUR BLOOD. BOTH OUR FAMILIES COME FROM A LONG HISTORY OF FARMING. IT MAKES ME EXCITED TO CONTINUE THIS FAMILY TRADITION OF HELPING FEED OUR WORLD.

I CAN TRULY ATTEST- FARMERS ARE SOME OF THE HARDEST WORKING AND SELFLESS PEOPLE I HAVE MET IN MY LIFE. THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR ANIMALS, THEIR LAND, THEIR COMMUNITIES, THEIR FRIENDS, THEIR FAMILY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THEIR FAITH.
